Fun with daddy...
Nana and Papa finally make it back to Texas and enjoy the pool with the boys!
Official preschooler...Tyler on his first day...he really was excited although you could never tell from the picture!

So....I was talking to someone the other day who asked how we are adjusting to Texas? After thinking about things, it has really been an incredibly blessed journey. On one hand, we have left our family and friends and my career to come here for Eric's opportunity but on the other hand we have gained so much in a short period of time. I am suprised daily at the incredible generosity of people we meet. We have met some great gals out with the kids and I am always so impressed when they are quick to give you their #'s and such. We have found a church home we are loving called Preston Trails Community Church. We are both involved in bible study with the mens/womens groups and we look forward to the relationships that come from this environment. The boys have not skipped a beat! Tyler has started preschool, he is going 2 days 9-2pm and is loving swimming and meeting new friends. His favorite girl friend is Isabelle and she lives a few neighborhoods over. He misses his girl Blakely from Georgia and talks about her almost daily:) Chase is off to the races. He has mastered pulling up and is starting to let go. He is obsessed with Gerber puffs (baby cheetos) and loves heading for the stairs!  I remember friends asking me if I was sure I wanted to name him Chase b/c chances were good he would be a busy boy! Yep..he is! I think it is just in the Smith boy genes. Eric can't sit still either...I can count on one hand how many naps he has taken in our marriage! We are looking forward to having some fun visitors soon..my aunt Caryl is coming this weekend and my friend Dawn is coming next weekend. Then my dad (Papa Mike) and my Granny are coming to keep the boys while I get a little nursing fix at the APHON conference in New Mexico...I am looking forward to my girl time with Audra at the conference!
I will be back to Georgia with the boys mid-October to celebrate some babies coming soon...
That about catches us up! We miss you all! Love and Good Night..Colin

You have no idea how encouraging your post is. With a move to AZ still a possibility (although I don't know when!) it's great to hear that it can be done and that it's not the horrible transition that I have nigthmares about! I am so happy to hear that everyone is settling in and life in TX suits you!
