First Trip to play ball...many more to come!
Sweet Chase, still recovering from the stomach flu
Fun with Daddy
Our little lefty!
Just a few quick pics for the family! We have been hit by the stomach bug at our house..started with Tyler on Thursday and is happily working its way around to Chase and now me! I hope Eric does not get it, he was out of town the first half of it so maybe he is in the clear!
We took a trip out to the park for some fresh air and thankfully no one got sick at the park!

"mommy, I am a little cranky, I need to take a rest"...how I found him 5 minutes later!
As a mom of a toddler, you celebrate lots of things.
This is one of them...HOLDING their own juice cup!!!
Chase....seriously on the run!
Off he goes...
Even tries to climb the walls!
BOY MOM
So, I have the t-shirt that says Boy Mom but these days I really feel it! As Chase has started walking and climbing and practically running he has gotten into everything, he loves to rearrange the cabinets, pull out the drawers (and get in), dump the dog food everywhere, push the furniture around, you get the point. HE IS BUSY..and I LOVE EVERY MINUTE! Tyler is constantly chasing after him and telling mommy when he is into something he shouldn't be. Hopefully he is not the tattle-tale kiddo but for now I think he is just being protective.
SO, the Smith's are great, boys are great, hubby is great (and busy) and well me...Life is Good!
Love you...

Enjoying my sweet 3 year old....
1. Crawled in bed to tell mommy: "wrap around me" his words for snuggle...then told me "that's what mommies do to their little buddies"
2. Tyler: "mommy"
Colin: "yes, honey?"
T: you know why god gave me you?
Colin: why baby?
T: because he wanted me to have a perfect mommy named mommy, and that is you!
Colin: sweet boy, tears:)))
3. Tyler: mommy?
Colin: yes baby
Tyler: you're my hero!
Colin: more tears, "sweet boy!"
So for now, I will enjoy these sweet words, I know in years to come maybe even next week things will change but for now...what a sweet blessing to be a boy mom!
Chase now 14 months....Chase is a sweetheart, a little wild indian most days! My friend Dawn questioned when we named him Chase as most boys with this name are wild and all over the place...Chase is living up to his peers. One minute he is right there with you and the next minute he is at the top of the stairs. He keeps us on our toes! He is starting to babble more and does really good with mama, dada, nana and trying with papa. He is growing like crazy and really really needs a haircut! He is growing a little "business in the back"/mullet...that I desperately need to trim..maybe this weekend! He loves to play outside and has mastered his little basketball goal in the backyard.
For me, I had 2 days out this week. I went to Dallas Children's to help with their Beads of Courage training and loved being back in the hospital, oh..to put on scrubs! Yesterday we met with an association here to try to get further funding for their program so I enjoyed my time and loved being able to contribute even if it did not include me in scrubs.
Although I was so happy to be "slightly working", it felt oh so good to come home and sport my mommy jumpsuits and play with the boys!
Today we head out in the 75 degree weather to hit a new park with our little playgroup! Tyler is counting down the minutes...
Have a great weekend..we will post some pics later...

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
It's been a few weeks so I thought I would update with some new pictures of our busy holiday season.
2900 miles...Yep, that is what I drove over the Thanksgiving holiday. We drove to Georgia (13 hours) and had a blast with the boys. They both did great and we had a ball in Vicksburg, MS where we stayed the night on the way there. We made it to GA the Sunday before Thanksgiving and got busy visiting family and friends. Tyler's first mission was to go see his gal, Blakely. He wanted to go straight there but we did go see all of our grandparents first:) I got to go visit a few friends who have new babies and those that I have not seen in a few months! We headed up to Blue Ridge on Tuesday to celebrate my dad's birthday and Thanksgiving. We had a ball with my sis and her family and loved seeing the boys playing together. The big event was Chase! He took his first steps and took off! He is a very busy boy now and a little sneaky too! Eric had to fly home on Sunday and I stayed the next week to catch up with friends and went to SC to visit family too. My gal, Audra's baby shower was on Saturday so it was such a treat to be able to celebrate with her and the girls. Thanks to all that made it a special trip home. I know I did not get to everyone but time just got away from me:( I drove home with my dad and was able to stay with my sis's inlaws and meet up with her brother and sister in law and their kiddos. Tyler had a blast playing with Wilson and it was a treat to get to spend time with them. We had a great trip home and Eric was happy to see us:)
As a family we are so thankful for 2008 and look forward to what 2009 has in store for us!
Enjoy the pics...
