Diagnosis: Clumsy

Since we moved to Texas...I have some how become clumsy and Eric says expensive!

As evidenced by:
1. Locked myself Out and had to have Frisco Fire Dept come BREAK a very expensive, custom window with custom plantation shutters on them. (~$500)
2. HIT my Expedition on the side of my house causing damage to the side doors, handle, and running board along the bottom (~$1000+)
3. Hung my favorite piece of art we bought on our honeymoon on a nail that was not strong enough and it CRASHED to the floor busting the frame (~$500)
4. Carried my sweet Chase and my diaper bag with my really nice camera in it and lost my balance...did not drop Chase but DROPPED my camera. It's broken...($600)

The good news is that these items are all material things and my family is nice and safe and Texas is really good... but I sure wish I had my clean car, nice artwork and favorite camera!

It's going to be a long while before pics appear again!

Love, Colin

Rain is over..just a little heavier than your normal everyday rain! We are thankful!
Update from Texas...
Just a little drizzle and breeze in Frisco, Texas. We should get about 1 inch of rain they say so I think we should be ok. The winds will be high around 55 mph per the report...so we are ready to spend the day inside and have everything we need....
Love you all...pray for those in Houston and Galviston!

Fun with daddy...
Nana and Papa finally make it back to Texas and enjoy the pool with the boys!
Official preschooler...Tyler on his first day...he really was excited although you could never tell from the picture!

So....I was talking to someone the other day who asked how we are adjusting to Texas? After thinking about things, it has really been an incredibly blessed journey. On one hand, we have left our family and friends and my career to come here for Eric's opportunity but on the other hand we have gained so much in a short period of time. I am suprised daily at the incredible generosity of people we meet. We have met some great gals out with the kids and I am always so impressed when they are quick to give you their #'s and such. We have found a church home we are loving called Preston Trails Community Church. We are both involved in bible study with the mens/womens groups and we look forward to the relationships that come from this environment. The boys have not skipped a beat! Tyler has started preschool, he is going 2 days 9-2pm and is loving swimming and meeting new friends. His favorite girl friend is Isabelle and she lives a few neighborhoods over. He misses his girl Blakely from Georgia and talks about her almost daily:) Chase is off to the races. He has mastered pulling up and is starting to let go. He is obsessed with Gerber puffs (baby cheetos) and loves heading for the stairs!  I remember friends asking me if I was sure I wanted to name him Chase b/c chances were good he would be a busy boy! Yep..he is! I think it is just in the Smith boy genes. Eric can't sit still either...I can count on one hand how many naps he has taken in our marriage! We are looking forward to having some fun visitors soon..my aunt Caryl is coming this weekend and my friend Dawn is coming next weekend. Then my dad (Papa Mike) and my Granny are coming to keep the boys while I get a little nursing fix at the APHON conference in New Mexico...I am looking forward to my girl time with Audra at the conference!
I will be back to Georgia with the boys mid-October to celebrate some babies coming soon...
That about catches us up! We miss you all! Love and Good Night..Colin

 Jesse...

We just had our 2nd successful date night here in Dallas. Our new babysitter is Jesse. She is a freshman in college (locally) and lives a few streets away in the neighborhood. She is wonderful with the boys and they were even ASLEEP when we got home which is a big accomplishment in our house. Eric and I always have a little bet on who is still up:) So we went to the fancy mall and walked around and had a yummy dinner and drove around Historic Highland Park. A great night...Love, Colin

Our first "friend" on the tile of the pool. He was about the size of an eraser on a pencil..really..tiny!
I am paying a fortune for Tyler to learn how to swim..
yet, he only plays on his "play ledge", one day maybe he will get in the water:)
Mom of the Year again...lunch poolside!
