This is the big week..and boy am I feeling it!

Chase and I are doing well and we can't wait to finally see his sweet face on Thursday:)

As this last week before Chase's arrival we don't have too much going on. We go to the doctor today to check in and then we are going to spend the week getting ready. Tyler has his Pajama party at school tomorrow for Halloween and he says he will be a fireman on Halloween. We will have to see..last week at the halloween party for our neighborhood, he wanted to be BOB the Builder and of course all I have heard is that he wants to be a fireman, so mommy did not have a BOB costume. We never made it in the fireman outfit, so Halloween is going to be interesting:) I guess he will go out in his clothes and toolbelt if nothing else.

Congrats to our friends Justin & Torry, they just welcomed yesterday morning their second baby girl into the world! We are so excited for you. We look forward to meeting her!

As of right now, we are checking into Northside Hosptial on Thursday, Nov. 1st at 11am.

The c-section is scheduled for 1pm.

It's official...10 more days to go until we meet our baby Chase! I went to the doctor this morning and will go one more time next Monday prior to our scheduled c-section on Thursday, November 1st. Today she checked to see if I was showing any signs of labor and PRAISE GOD I am not (Eric is in Portland for the week:)). She also did an ultrasound to measure everything and all looks perfect, he was even practicing his breathing like a full term baby so that is good for when he comes. Our original due date was Nov. 14th but they induce/c-section 2 weeks early so it is good that he is breathing well and she says he is definitely going to be around 8 lbs or so...So all is great and we look forward to our last preparations before he arrives. Tyler seems to understand as much as he can, we know he is going to be a great big brother:) Love to all...Happy Monday! Praise God for Rain:)

Update on Baby Boy Chase....

We are officially set for November 1st as the big day for Chase to arrive. We had our last high risk appointment this past Monday and he said everything looks great and the baby is growing perfectly. He currently weighs about 6 lbs 3 oz. and is quite a busy boy these days. We are staying busy around the Smith house and look forward to the coming weeks when we get to meet our little guy! Thanks for all your love and support!

Good evening! Eric and I went to the doctor today to "check in on Chase!" We had a great visit and all looks great. He was busy doing flips in my stomach during the exam so we did not get a great chance to get many pictures. We will post the latest pics tomorrow. I am now 32 weeks and he is measuring 4 lbs. I think he is going to be a big boy! Love to all...Colin

31 weeks and enjoying a beautiful morning..

Eric and I departed over a week ago for beautiful hawaii. We have had the trip planned the entire pregnancy so we just were hoping all would be good for us to go. It was! We had a blast! I had the amazing blessing of watching my friend, Katie get married on the most gorgeous beach I have ever seen and celebrate with her friends and family. We spent the first half of the trip on the North Shore in Oahu which is the countryside. It was beautiful. We spent the second half in the city on Waikiki Beach. We hated to leave such a beautiful place but could not wait to get home to Tyler! He did fantastic at his Nana's and Papa's, he talked to us on the phone while we were away which was such a treat. Thanks to Eric's parents for taking such great care of him!

28 weeks...well, 29 weeks according to Chase....
I went to see my doctors yesterday to check on Baby Chase. All is perfect and we have the go-ahead to head off to Hawaii next week. We saw my high risk doctor in the morning and he is measuring a little over a week ahead. Baby looks great and is right at 3 lbs. I then headed up to my regular OB and successfully passed my gestational diabetes test and got the go-ahead from her too...so off to Hawaii we go. My girlfriend, Katie is getting married over Labor Day weekend on the North Shore so we have been anticipating this trip since the New Year...Can't wait! Love to all...4D pics to come at my next appointment on Sept. 10th!

My sis came for a great visit this week, despite a temporary outage with the a/c it turned out to be a great week. The boys got along great and Tyler was good at sharing his toys. Adam got to sleep in Chase's crib which was nice, the boys both slept great which made for happy campers. Sis and I had enjoyed catching up and seeing all our family.

Pregnancy is going well, almost 27 weeks!

Chase is busy, you can see him moving now by looking at my tummy. Tyler seems to be "getting it" a little although it will definitely take Chase arriving before he fully understands. He woke up yesterday saying " I am too big for Chase's bed!" and he will tell you that Chase is coming in November once he is finished growing. Very cute.

Smith's are doing great, hope you all are too!

We had a great "date night" with Tyler. Our destination was to find any and all construction equipment we could. We were fortunate to find some dump trucks and other exciting trucks along the way. We finished with ice cream at Carvel:) Tyler loved it! After every stop, he would say "bye bye Back hoe" or "bye bye dump truck"! He calls this BIG FUN!

First Pony Ride...
Today was a great day, it is Eric's 34th birthday! We started the morning at our favorite bagel/muffin shop and then went to the gym. The afternoon we spent at the CURE Childhood Cancer Family Picnic and Tyler had a blast! After a good nap, Tyler woke up to his Papa Mike to play with while mommy and daddy went out for the night. We had a great time! We came home to find Papa Mike and Tyler sound asleep in Tyler's big boy bed! I would have taken a picture but I learned early on my dad does not like to be startled when asleep:) Too sweet...good night...love, Colin

Tyler and I took a short trip to Blue Ridge to see my dad and Tyler caught his first fish in the back yard of our cabin. He had a blast throwing rocks in Big Creek and playing with his Papa Mike.

Update on Baby Boy Chase....
All is going so well with our pregnancy. Chase is now about 15 ounces and is growing perfectly! We had our 22 week ultrasound last week with my high risk doctor and did all his measurements and all was right on track. We saw all his fingers and toes and got some great pictures. I am feeling him move alot now more at night time which is how I felt with Ty. I am definitely looking pregnant now, it's amazing how much faster this time than with Ty. We go back to the doctor in a month right before we head off to Hawaii for my friend Katie's wedding...we will update more on Chase after the next appointment, we should have 4D pics then too!

Today after church, we pulled out the big boy pool and Ty had a ball. He splashed and jumped for hours...he is well into a great nap now:)
