We made it! We are officially now in Georgia!

The boys did great for such a long drive. We drove to Mississippi last night and did some indoor pool swimming which was fun and then today did the last stretch pulling in around 6:30pm...My wonderful dad met us up at Eric's parents so we could all enjoy a happy reunion:)

See you in a few days..we are coming to Georgia!!!

We are so excited to head out to Georgia tomorrow. I am getting everything ready here and we are going to head out first thing in the morning. We will make 1 stop overnight and be there on Sunday. 

...GOOD...

This was the most profound word today. Chase looked at me and my babysitter, Jesse and said a perfect word! He looked at us and said "Good". NO kidding, I had a witness! 

He has been saying Mama and Dada for a while now but Good takes the cake! i was expecting ball or something directed at his big brother like stop pushing me around or to tell bailey our boxer to quit licking him but his first and perfect word was Good! 

So...it was a Good Day! 

We head to Georgia on Saturday for a great trip!

I have a love for flowers, one day I will learn more about them so I can make a pretty yard! In the meantime, we will visit pretty gardens so I can get my flower "fix".

We were tagged in my sister's game to pick the 4th folder of our picture files and the 4th picture... Look who it is! Our adorable nephew Adam...he was 1 day old!

 Chase had his 1 year visit at the doctor and all is good! He is growing great and the doctor had no concerns...Next visit is at 15 months...

 His stats: 

 Weight: 20.5lbs (Yeah this means the carseat is facing forward) 

 Height: 31.3 in  (90-95%)

 Head: 18.8 (90-95%)

 Physical Exam: A+ with mild dry skin

 Development: A+ Excellent! 

 

 He is recovering from 4 shots! ouch!!! He woke up with a fever from the shots but other than that he is doing well!

Yummy Cake..

We celebrated Chase's first birthday yesterday with some great friends. We had a Mexican Fiesta with the best fajitas around! We topped off the night with yummy cupcakes and of course great friends. Chase had a ball with his little cake and enjoyed his new toys. He is starting to make some steps and maybe one day this week he will turn loose! Tyler is encouraging him all the way! Have a great week! 

Carl Edwards wears Beads of Courage! Go Carl! 

After a great experience launching Beads of Courage at Children's, I became passionate about the organization. I am excited to be a part of their Board of Directors now and had to share this awesome picture. Carl had visited the Aflac Cancer Center in Atlanta before the race on Saturday and one of the patients gave him his beads to wear for the Race and he won! He is going to be able to keep the beads until the cup series is over! How very cool for the little boy who loaned his beads...do you see them...they are around his neck!

We went to the pumpkin patch on Friday in Celina Texas. It was beautiful country and I am impressed we found the place, thanks to new great friend Sheryl! Nana and I had a great time with the boys. I am thankful to have her in town for a few weeks:)))

October 16th...when did this happen? 

 How can it really be October 16th. I am planning for halloween and Chase's 1st birthday and wondering where the time has gone. I can't believe we are seeing Christmas decorations and advertisements already! I was telling someone the other day, I feel like I had Chase and woke up in Texas. Partly because he did not sleep thru the night until about 7 months and by then we were already here. I am just having one of those days when you reflect on life and how fast it moves. 

 Tyler is doing great. He is enjoying his school and goes on Tues/Thursday. His teacher is Mrs. Penelope and she is wonderful with him. They say he is very quiet in class and shy most of the time which is new for him. He has always been the most talkative and social. He comes home singing songs, and always has some grand art work to show me. I have a showcase in his playroom so I will post a picture of that one day. He loves to go put it on the display:) He is growing like a weed, he does not fit in any of his clothes he wore just months ago. He is heading to be tall like his daddy! He says silly things:

Instead of Im hungry: "my belly is talking"

Instead of Im full: "my belly says its all filled up"

When he wants a treat: "are you thinking what I am thinking?" followed by..."Im thinking treat.." 

Instead of Chase: he says "sweet little buddy". 

etc. 

He is such a great big brother, he is always willing to help or wait on Chase. He is quiet when Chase naps and makes sure he plays with his quiet trucks only. He will bring them all to me to ask if they are "too loud or just ok." So sweet:)

Chase is about to be 1 year old! Crazy! He is simply adorable. He smiles at everyone and is totally a mommy's boy. He plays well as long as mommy is in sight. He says mama, dada, and his favorite word for sure is dadee...he loves belly laughing and playing with anything Tyler is in to. He should walk any day now. He stands up and transfers from one thing to another but no steps forward yet. He might be waiting for his nana to come next week. We are going to celebrate his first birthday with a few friends here so we will make sure to post pics:) 

Our next trip home to Georgia is for Thanksgiving. We will be home for about 2 weeks. I am going to be a big girl and drive! That way I have my car and can bring baby stuff to my sis.
